NS Healthcare Hero: Amanda Riener

I would like to nominate my friend Amanda Riemer, who has been a paramedic in HRM for almost 10 years.

She is one of the amazing women in my local mom support group, she has been such a valuable wealth of knowledge and reassurance for so many of our questions and concerns regarding the health and wellness of ourselves, our families and our children.

As a mother myself, I cannot fathom the courage it must have taken for her to be on the front lines during a global pandemic, and I truly admire her and all other amazing men and women who put themselves at risk during such uncertain times.

She stands out to me as she has time and time again truly demonstrated what it means to be a hero in healthcare by showing compassion, bravery, and heart.
